Hi Leonard, and welcome to planDisney!
The holiday season is a fantastic time to visit Walt Disney World Resort. Whether celebrating Christmas or simply soaking up the festive atmosphere, you’ll find beautiful decorations, charming holiday touches, and plenty of seasonal cheer around every corner. As you plan your visit, I’m thrilled to share that Walt Disney World is committed to ensuring every Guest has a comfortable experience. From accessibility-friendly attractions to comprehensive resources available in the
Services for Guests with Mobility Needs, Disney truly goes above and beyond to make magic accessible to all.
I am happy to report that canes that have a folding seat are considered mobility aids and are perfectly acceptable to bring with you. I recommend reviewing the
Walt Disney World Property Rules for any updates before your visit; as you will see, folding chairs are prohibited, but you can rest assured that
your cane-seat combo is allowed, which will help you quickly navigate the parks.
If you’d like another mobility option, each theme park offers Electric Conveyance Vehicle (ECV) rentals on a first-come, first-served basis. For added convenience, Disney also partners with a third-party vendor that provides length-of-stay ECV rentals, which can be delivered to your Disney Resorts Collection hotel. This ensures you have reliable transportation for your vacation and saves you the hassle of daily rentals. You can find more details on the
Wheelchair and
ECV Rental pages.
If you have any questions or need further assistance planning your trip, Leonard, please don’t hesitate to return to planDisney. We’re here to help make your vacation as magical as possible!
See you real soon!
