Can you bring a normal backpack with you into Disney California Adventure?

Hey there, hi there, Brendan! Welcome to planDisney. We are always so thankful for Guests who visit us with their planning questions.

Summer is here, and Disneyland Resort is the place to be! I hope you are excited for your upcoming visit. As you are planning and packing, I hope you are happy to hear that you can most definitely bring a standard backpack into the parks. If you are worried about size or other items you are hoping to bring into the parks, you can always check out the Property Rules. Backpacks generally can be brought onto most attractions by placing them between your feet. If you don't want to have your backpack on you at all times, there are also locker rentals available in both parks and in the Esplanade.

A backpack can definitely be helpful when spending a full day in the park. Summer days can definitely get hot, but early mornings and late nights cool off, so I always bring a light layer. I also recommend a charging cable and battery pack, sunscreen, and a reusable water bottle. Disneyland also allows you to bring food and drink into the parks, which I find really helpful for families because I know my kids love to snack!

Brendan, I hope you have a magical time visiting during the 70th Celebration! See you real soon!

Meet the Panelist: Carrie, California

Well hello there, friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mom and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. You'll find my family in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can. While Disneyland is our home away from home, we love trying to make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation happen at least once a year now too. All my friends know I'm the go-to for Disney advice, so I'm here to help you plan and experience the magic on your visit! Learn More About Carrie
