Ahoy, Samantha! Welcome to planDisney and thanks for sailing over with your question about Disney Cruise Line.
These days everyone travels with gadgets and gizmos a-plenty even while they are on vacation, so I understand that you want to make sure that you can keep all of your sailing party’s whozits and whatzits galore charged throughout your trip. Whether you can bring your multi-charging outlet plug depends on its specific design. Disney Cruise Line’s list of
prohibited items includes: “extension cords, power strips, multi-plugs, and surge protectors.” That means that you definitely
cannot have a multi-charging outlet plug that expands one wall socket into multiple AC outlets. However, if you are using a multi-port USB charger that plugs into one electrical outlet and only has USB-A or USB-C charging ports, then it should be allowed.
Just remember that Disney Cruise Line’s number one priority is the safety of all guests. That means that they do reserve the right to seize and secure any item deemed to be dangerous or that could pose a security or safety risk to guests onboard. If you pack a type of multi-plug that is not allowed, then it will likely be confiscated on embarkation day during the security screening. Although they will not let you take it on the ship, those types of confiscated items can usually be retrieved at the port on disembarkation day. Should that happen to you, then you can always reach out to the
Guest Services desk onboard for more information.
I hope that helps you plan for the charging needs of all of your thingamabobs. Be sure to check out the official Disney Cruise Line
packing lists before you set sail, so that you have everything you need. If you have any other questions, you are welcome back at planDisney any time. Happy sailing!
