Can I bring my mirrorless camera to the park and take pictures of myself with my family?

Hello there and welcome to planDisney!

As someone who loves photographing and creating content - especially at the Disney Destinations around the world, it's been great to see how the theme parks and Disney Resort Hotels have adapted to each new form of technology that captures all of these special memories for folks and families around the world.

You will be happy to hear that not only can you bring your mirrorless camera in to the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks, they are not considered one of the Restricted items currently listed. What most folks need to be aware of is that since any unauthorized commercial photography is prohibited, Cast Members may keep an eye out for any additional professional gear and may approach you if you're blocking a walkway where guests pass through or if you're bringing your mirrorless camera to take photos while you're on select rides or attractions. That said, here in Orlando you can especially spot many of the vloggers, photographers and creators that Disney actually invites out to cover Disney Experiences using mirrorless cameras that they've brought through security and according to the Cast Member I chatted with, as long as you're respectful of other guests and not disruptive most families don't encounter any problems taking photos with these cameras of their own!

Sometimes you just want to have the whole family together for a picture, and taking advantage of Disney PhotoPass is a great way to roam around and have someone take your photo without having to worry about setting up a shot. I personally love booking a Capture Your Moment shoot which provides you with a private session in the theme parks with a Disney PhotoPass photographer for up to 8 family members; you can get so many great shots over a span of 20 minutes knowing that you'll never have to be missing from all of these magical memories.

Be sure to come back to us again soon, and don't forget to reach out to fellow planDisney expert Nilson for any questions in Portuguese or specific to Brazilians experiencing Disney destinations!

Here's to snapping the shots your family will always look back on and remember!
