Can I bring into Magic Kingdom a folded camp stool that measures 23" in length?

    Hi Patricia,

Welcome to planDisney! We're happy you turned to us with your question as you plan your Walt Disney World vacation.

Disney Parks worldwide adhere to a customer service standard called The 5 Keys, which are Safety, Courtesy, Inclusion, Show and Efficiency. Safety is always first and foremost for cast members and guests. That's why certain items are prohibited from the Walt Disney World theme parks. Unfortunately, folding chairs of any sort are among those prohibited items because they could create a hazard for you or other guests.

Fortunately, you will find lots of places to sit and rest, often in the shade, throughout the theme parks. I always take a rest break as an opportunity for a snack, too. It's a good time to treat yourself to a Dole Whip or a Mickey pretzel.

If you have mobility issues that might make walking longer distances difficult, each theme park has wheelchairs and mobility scooters (ECVs) available for rent. Or you might want to look into a length-of-stay rental from one of the local third party companies. After an accident a few years ago, I rented an ECV from ScooterBug, the preferred provider for Walt Disney World, and rode it everywhere, even onto the Disney buses and the Skyliner. It was waiting for me at Bell Services when I arrived at my Disney resort, and it was easy to return it to Bell Services when we departed.

I hope that helps, Patricia, even if the answer to your question wasn't what you might have hoped. Please let us know if we can help in any other way as you finalize your plans.

    Enjoy every magical moment,

    Wilma
