When do you bring your luggage to port? We have a time to board the ship but what about luggage a ND then to park.

Ahoy there, Kim. Thanks for sailing by planDisney with your excellent question!

The quick answer is that your luggage will come with you to the port!. You should receive Disney Cruise Line luggage tags for each Guest in your party to the mailing address associated with the booking. These luggage tags have your state room information and are unique to your traveling party. Do not pack these in your luggage, but hand-carry them to the port with you. You will want to attach them right before or upon arrival at port. Upon arrival, Disney Cruise Line porters are there to greet you and take your luggage to be loaded on the ship. If you're traveling with a large party, lots of luggage, or little ones, I actually like to drop the luggage off at the curb with the youngest and older members of the party (and the luggage tags) before going to park. At some ports, parking is not nearby, so this minimizes having to move large amounts of luggage from the car to the porters.

An embarkation day tip: Be sure to have a carry-on bag with any medication, sunscreen, swimsuits, and anything else you might need before you set sail. The Disney Cruise Line porters move quickly, but it can take time for your luggage to arrive, so you'll want to keep anything you must have with you. My kids sometimes like to take a dip in the pool while we wait for our room to be ready, so I make sure to have our pool essentials with me when we board!

Kim, once your luggage is safely handed off to the porters, be sure you've downloaded the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app, if you haven't already. You will need it as soon as you board the ship, as it gives you locations and times for activities happening on board. I also like to favorite or "heart" my family's must-do activities, so that my phone will notify me when it's time for the fun!

I hope this answers your question, Kim. If you have further questions or need any tips on how to make the most of your Disney Cruise, please reach out again. We would love to help!
