Hello, Vicki! Welcome aboard planDisney, and thanks for cruising to us with your question. I'd be happy to help you!
It sounds like you are just about to set sail for adventure with Disney Cruise Line as you pack and prepare for your upcoming cruise. Yes, you may bring your own snorkel equipment onboard. Snorkel equipment is not allowed to be used in the pools of the ship, but you can bring it to use for your time exploring the ocean while in port. You may also bring your own flotation device; however, auto-inflating life vests are not allowed.
If you will be sailing to
Disney Castaway Cay or
Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, brightly colored complimentary snorkeling life vests will be provided for your use in the snorkeling areas and must be worn by all snorkelers. Disney Cruise Line also provides pool flotation vests in a variety of sizes for children, both near the pools on the ship and at Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay.
I hope this information helps you save some room in your luggage! If you'd like a
packing checklist to reference, Disney Cruise Line provides one on their website. Before you leave home, please make sure you have the latest version of the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app downloaded to your smartphone. The app will point your compass toward all the fun
activities, exciting
entertainment, and delicious
dining options onboard.
Have the best cruise ever! Bon Voyage!
