We are bring our kids. My daughter will be turning 5 we would like to do something extra special. This is a vacation that the family has been saving for a long time for. Would you give be some special ideas that don't cost to much. Thank you.

    Hello Rosalia,

Oh, how exciting! Celebrating birthdays at Walt Disney World is extra memorable. Be sure to get a complimentary birthday button at guest services and have her wear it for the entire trip. You'll be amazed at the extra attention she'll receive by wearing it.

A special character meal, such as Chef Mickey's or The Crystal Palace,  would be an excellent way to celebrate. I can understand wanting to save some money, so even if you can't do a meal, there are plenty of opportunities to meet the characters around the parks.

Another fun and unique thing to do would be to go to each of the countries in World Showcase at Epcot and do the Kidcot Fun Stops. Be sure to tell them it's her birthday, although they'll probably figure it out if she is wearing a button. The cast members can write "Happy Birthday" and her name in their native languages. This could be an interesting keepsake to remember her special birthday at Walt Disney World. The Kidcot Fun Stops are included in the cost of admission, so it wouldn't add on any extra expense.

Lastly, there are tons of different "ear" hats available for purchase, including birthday themed ones. You can also have many of these personalized at select locations.

I hope she has a pixie dusted birthday and your first visit is full of treasured memories to last a lifetime!
