Hiya Yaritza R.,
Welcome to planDisney! As a mom of two stroller-aged toddlers, I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about strollers at Walt Disney World. On my very first trip as a mom, I brought my 4-month-old daughter, and I agonized over choosing the right stroller to make my life easier and hopefully keep her comfortable. All of this to say, I completely understand that the right stroller can be the difference between the best day ever and one that leaves you counting down the minutes until bedtime.
I always think the best first step is to check stroller dimensions before you leave on your trip, so great job, Yaritza! I’ve seen plenty of instances where a parent’s stroller doesn’t fit the dimensions, or they bring in a stroller wagon, and security asks them to return it to their vehicle. Let me first say that Cast Members have ultimate discretion over whether to allow a stroller into a theme park. That said, the official
Walt Disney World Resort policy states that any stroller you bring must fit within the designated dimensions of 31 inches wide by 52 inches long. When we were first looking at strollers, we considered the Joie travel system. If I remember correctly, it fits within those dimensions, but I recommend doing a quick check with a tape measure just to be sure.
I hope this was helpful, Yaritza. Before I let you go, if this is your first trip with a stroller, I do want to give you a little note about the complimentary transportation options around the parks. Certain options, such as the bus or parking lot trams, require you to collapse your stroller before boarding. If you have a sleeping baby or toddler, that is never fun, so I always like to give a little warning. I personally prefer traveling via the
Disney Skyliner or
Monorail whenever possible because it saves me from having to collapse my stroller (most of the time). Also, since you are paying a visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth during the summer, don’t forget to visit the
Baby Care Centers and indoor experiences as much as possible. The heat can sneak up on you! If you need anything else, please come back and see us. We're happy to help in any way we can. I hope that you have the most incredible trip!
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
