Can I bring a hard cooler to the park and what are the size dimensions?

Hey there, hi there, Regina! Welcome to planDisney. We are here for all your planning questions!

As a family that loves visiting the parks as much as we can, we are always looking for ways to save! One of the easiest ways for us was to bring a backpack of snacks. This was especially important when our kids were younger and always wanting a snack. It's also a great way to keep them occupied in attraction queues. I am happy to share that you can bring a cooler into the parks. According to the Property Rules, you need to make sure they are not larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high. Another thing to take note of is that loose or dry ice is not permitted, so be sure you have reusable ice packs, if needed. There are plenty of places to dine in the outside dining areas throughout the parks. There is also an area just outside Disneyland Park near the lockers that has picnic tables, which is convenient if you are storing the cooler or items in a locker.

Another great way to save and free up space in your cooler is to bring refillable water bottles. Any quick-service dining location has complimentary cups of water. There are also many bottle-filling stations throughout the parks. To find the one closest to you, search "bottle-filling station" in the Disneyland app, and the information page will allow you to bring up a map with all the locations.

Regina, we love answering questions and giving our best tips! Thanks so much for bringing us yours!

While Disneyland is our home away from home, we love trying to make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation happen at least once a year now too. All my friends know I'm the go-to for Disney advice, so I'm here to help you plan and experience the magic on your visit! Learn More About Carrie
