Want to bring my grandchildren to Disney the ages are 12,8,6,2,3,7,1,6mos,7, and 6. how do I find the best place to stay for us and their parents?

    Hi Terri,

How generous of you to plan a trip for your children and grandchildren!  Some of my very best Disney memories are from the early trips I took with my grandmother back in the 1970s.  Your family will cherish the memories of your upcoming trip for generations to come!

I don't know much about the parameters of your budget so I'll suggest two Disney resorts for you to consider:

    1.  If you are hoping to stick to a budget, I suggest you stay at Disney's Pop Century Resort.  It is fun and colorful. I guarantee that it will appeal to the little ones in your group because of its bright decor and larger-than-life icons.  They have a great food court at this resort with options to please folks of all ages.  This is an excellent choice in the Disney value resort category.

    2.  If you are comfortable spending a bit more for your accommodations, then check out Disney's Wilderness Lodge.  This resort is just a short boat ride from the Magic Kingdom.  That's a real bonus when you're traveling with young children.  The theming at this resort will simply blow your family away.  It is mesmerizing!  They have standard rooms at this resort in addition to villas that include full kitchens and private laundry facilities.  Let me know if you have further questions about the different kinds of rooms at Disney's Wilderness Lodge.

I think your large, multi-generational group would love either of these resorts!

Thanks for posting your question to the Moms Panel!
