Ahoy Tiffany!
Wanting to take your grandkids on a Disney cruise? I nominate you for Grandmother of the Year! I hope my answer motivates you to wave your magic wand and book that Disney sailing with your grandchildren ASAP!
This does come up often for families: one child is under age three and cannot participate in an activity onboard Disney Cruise Line. In your case, the older two grandkids would be able to participate in the Youth Clubs, but not the 2-year-old because kids must be at least 3 years old to participate in
Disney's Oceaneer Club and
Disney's Oceaneer Lab. So depending on the toddler’s personality, your grandchild may not want to see the siblings being able to go into the Youth Clubs and not be able to join them.
However, you could sign the 2-year-old up for time in the
"it's a small world" nursery. Your grandkid will be able to enjoy playtime, toys, games and Disney movies. Time in the nursery is available for an additional fee and is limited. So my suggestion is to make reservations for your Mouseketeer to enjoy this space as soon as your
advance booking window opens.
It’s still an amazing opportunity for your grandchildren to experience cruising with Captain Mickey, so I hope this won’t be a deal breaker that keeps you from sailing.
Let me assure you that there’s plenty for a toddler to do on a Disney ship! But I do understand if you decide to wait until the youngest is at least 3 years old so that they can all play in those amazing Youth Clubs together.
Cruise back to planDisney if you have any additional questions that we can answer. I hope you will decide to say yes to Captain Mickey and to memory making with your grandkids on a Disney cruise!
SEA ya real soon!
