Hiya, Stephanie, and thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It’s great to have you hEAR! First off, I want to congratulate you on your exciting news! I can’t think of a better place to celebrate your gender reveal than at the
Happiest Place on Earth!
I checked the
Disneyland Resort Rules, and unfortunately, it looks like the gender reveal smoke sticks would probably fall under the Prohibited Items list of “Fireworks or other similarly explosive and/or flammable objects, smoke machines or fog machines.” I do, however, have some other great ideas for the perfect gender reveal at the Disneyland Resort! First, how about revealing a picture of
baby’s first custom Mouseketeer Ear Hat? This Ear Hat would also make an adorable addition to a Mickey Mouse-themed nursery!
Here’s an interactive way to get the
Characters involved, especially if you don’t know the gender yet. If you’re waiting to find out the gender until your arrival, I’d recommend purchasing a pair of pink and blue baby booties ahead of time, and bringing them with you. Once you’re in the parks, use the
Disneyland app to find your favorite Character. Then, while you’re waiting in line for the Character, you can let the Cast Member assisting know that you’re doing a gender reveal. Once you’re with the Character, hold up both baby booties in one
Disney PhotoPass picture, then, open your envelope with your exciting news next. Pose for pictures with the Character holding the pink or blue booties, depending on the verdict!
I also recommend stopping by
Guest Relations at City Hall in
Disneyland Park, or
Chamber of Commerce in Disney California Adventure Park, to pick up
complimentary “I’m Celebrating!” buttons. You could even ask a Cast Member to write “It’s a girl!” or “It’s a boy!” on the buttons, then find a PhotoPass Photographer to help you capture your excitement.
Sleeping Beauty Castle would be a beautiful backdrop for this reveal!
I hope these ideas help spark the perfect plan for your gender reveal, Stephanie! Wishing you a healthy pregnancy and a wonderful time celebrating your little Mouseketeer!
