Hiya, Casey! Thanks a ton for bringing your question to planDisney. I see you like to be prepared AND you enjoy visits to the Happiest Place on Earth – well, those are two things we have in common!
Casey, I would keep your mobile phone handy upon arrival, as the
Disneyland mobile app is the easiest way to access your theme park tickets and reservations. In my experience, the Cast Member at the main entrance will scan your
theme park ticket (which you can access by going to “Tickets and Passes” in the app.) They have not typically asked me to show my theme park reservation separately, as it is linked to the ticket. If you’d like to be extra prepared, you could have the email handy which shows you hold theme park reservations for that day.
If you have a
Southern California Resident ticket, it would help to have a valid government issued ID handy which shows your eligible address.
For a multi-day ticket, the Cast Member will likely take your photo, as once a ticket has been used, it cannot be transferred to another Guest.
Can I share some other items I make sure to bring with me to the parks? You will always find these items in my backpack!
• Portable charger (you’ll be using the Disneyland mobile app a lot)
• Jacket for the evening (usually a lightweight, puffy one that folds up into an itty bitty living space)
• Reusable water bottle (need to stay hydrated)
• Energy bars (for a quick boost, while saving room for my favorite Mickey-shaped snacks!)
• Hat (for those sunny moments)
• Extra socks (in case I get really wet on any attractions)
• Small first aid kit (for unexpected boo-boos, although Guest Services will be able to help too!)
That is what’s in my bag. What’s in my heart is the uncontrollable excitement in anticipation of the fun I’m about to have as I enter through that gate! Welcome to the world of yesterday, tomorrow and fantasy.
Adventure is out there. Enjoy your magical visit!
