Hi, Amanda! Thanks for bringing another great question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
You'll be happy to know that you can absolutely bring food into the parks! We always travel with a backpack full of snacks and some water bottles whenever we visit. The only restrictions are that you can't package any of your food in glass containers (small baby food jars are an exception) and you can't bring in alcohol. If you think you will need a cooler for your snacks, it will probably be easiest for you to store it in one of the
lockers available to rent. The Disneyland Resort is also really attuned to the
dietary needs of their Guests. They offer allergy-friendly menus for Guests with common food allergies and you can even speak to a chef or specially-trained Cast Member at most restaurants to talk about food modifications and accommodations. You can also get the conversation started before your visit by contacting
Special.Diets@disneyland.com. Stopping by Guest Services when you arrive in the parks might also be a good idea if you are particularly concerned.
Finally, I have to thank you for introducing me to a new character! I didn't know who Coco the monkey was until I read your question. I think it is so amazing that Goofy, Mickey, and their pals have a special friend who is diabetic. It is so important when kids can relate to characters in their favorite stories and shows. Unfortunately, I do not believe that Coco the monkey is available anywhere in the parks at this time. Goofy and gang are certainly available to meet in both parks so make sure to mention Coco the monkey when you see them!
I hope you have a delightful trip to the Happiest Place on Earth!
