Greetings to you, Serena, and welcome to planDisney!
We're happy that you came to us with your question! My entire family are cat lovers, and as a veterinarian, I have seen some amazing cats who accompany their parents nearly everywhere. One of my friends recently took her cat on vacation with her and they both went on daily hikes together! Her cat was content to stay in a backpack with a large window so he could observe the world around him and they got some really cute pictures together.
At this time, the Disneyland Resort only allows
service animals on property. These are defined as any dog or miniature horse trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability. An ESA (emotional support animal) would not fall under this category and would not be allowed, even if contained in a backpack. I'm sorry if that's not the answer you were hoping to hear.
When you're in the Parks and enjoying all the
Holiday decorations, you can still involve your cuddly companion! Did you know that the caricature artist outside the exit of
Pirates of the Caribbean can
draw a portrait of your cat from a smartphone photo? They can even make a drawing of the both of you together, which would make a wonderful souvenir! You can also bring back a gift for your cat as well. I have seen some absolutely darling pet beds and bowls while shopping in the Parks and I love bringing something back for my animals!
Serena, I wish you the best as you continue to plan your Disneyland Resort trip! If there is anything else that we can answer for you, please feel free to write again anytime. You're always welcome here at planDisney!
Wishing You a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow!
