Can I bring my emotional support dog into Disney world

chEARs Andrea, and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Walt Disney World does an excellent job welcoming Guests with unique needs and tries to create Magical experiences for all of its Guests, including those with service animals.

A service animal is defined as “a dog or miniature horse that is trained to do work or perform tasks for, and to assist, an individual with a disability.” Service animals are welcome in almost all areas throughout the Parks and Resorts. They must remain on leash and under the control of their owner at all times.

Currently, emotional support dogs are not covered under the service animal umbrella, and therefore not permitted in the Parks or most of the Resort properties. But, if you are planning to stay on property, there are four dog-friendly Resorts for your beloved canine family member. I know how important a pet is, and especially one that assists you. Another option might be Best Friends Pet Care which is a Walt Disney World Resort Pet Boarding facility. I’ve visited the Center, and it looks like nirvana for pets! They offer first-rate accommodations as well as treats and activities.

Andrea, if you have any more questions, please don’t hesitate to come back. I hope your vacation is full of Magic.
