Hello, Kingsley. Welcome back to planDisney! It's great to see you cruise our way again.
I'm happy to share that, yes, you may bring your Key to the World card home with you. I have a stack of Key to the World cards from past cruises that I keep as a memento of all the magical memories that I have made onboard!
Your Key to the World card will be used in many ways throughout your voyage. You will use it to open your
stateroom door, charge purchases to your onboard account, check young children out of Disney's Oceaneer Club or Lab, and to
debark and embark at ports of call. The final time you use your Key to the World card will be on the morning that you disembark the cruise. The Crew Members will scan your card, return it back to you, and you will exit the ship.
Leaving the ship on that final morning is my least favorite part of any Disney Cruise. That's why I like to secure a placeholder within the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app while I'm still onboard. A placeholder reservation can be used toward a sailing within the next two years, with most itineraries and stateroom categories eligible for a discount. It's like saying "see ya real soon!" to Captain Mickey and Captain Minnie instead of "goodbye"!
I hope my pals and I will "see ya real soon!" at planDisney. We're always here to help.
Happy Planning,
Adrianna
