We will bring my daughters friend this year (me, dad, teen brother, daughter and friend). We were thinking about adjoining rooms since you can't have 5 people in a room. I read you can have 5 at the Grand Floridian. Will the room layout work for us?

    Hi Rhonda!

There are a handful of resorts that can accommodate 5 in a standard room.  The layout is two queen beds and a sleeper sofa bed.  We have fit five adults in rooms at the Beach Club, Contemporary and the Grand Floridian before with no problem, just two couples will have to share a bed.  With your scenario, I would put teen brother on the sofa bed, the girls in one bed and then mom and dad in the other bed.  We just stayed at the Grand Floridian this month and we could fit both of my kids (2 and 5) in the sofa bed.  The sofa bed lays down sideways, so the mattress is all in one piece.  Not like the old style sleeper sofa beds where the mattress is folded in half when put away.  It's actually quite comfortable!

    Have a magical day!
