I want to bring my daughter to WDW. She will be 4 at the time we are planning to travel. I have been told that this is a bad age to bring her as she won't remember it when shes older. I would like your opinions on if this correct?

Please do not listen to the naysayers!

If I had listened to them, I wouldn't have memories of my two-year old dancing with Winnie the Pooh or kissing Minnie Mouse. I'd have no recollection of a little boy staring wide-eyed at "the Disney choo choo" as we waited for a ride on the monorail. My heart would be a little less full without the memory of my son's first time soaring on Dumbo or his enthusiastic reaction as he applauded for every float that rode by in the afternoon parade at the Magic Kingdom.

I could write a novel listing these kinds of moments that I implore you not to miss. Seeing Walt Disney World through a young child's eyes is not-to-be-missed!

While she may not remember specific parts of your trip, your daughter will carry with her the special bonding experiences that you'll enjoy. After all, why do we celebrate birthdays and such when our children won't remember them? We do it to create a foundation on which to build our family bond.

Your daughter may not remember the hotel room or what she ate at dinner but she is likely to recall (at least for a long time) meeting Cinderella, swimming in the pool, fireworks, parades, more princesses, her favorite rides and more.

While my son now runs to Space Mountain, I'm so glad that I have those memories of him flying with Dumbo. He loves to hear stories, watch videos and look at pictures from our earlier trips. It's part of his childhood!

I hope your next question is to help plan your WDW trip!! Make magical memories!
