Ahoy there, Iora, and welcome to planDisney! It sounds like you have a spooktacular sailing coming up later this month, so I’d be happy to help with your question.
A
Halloween on the High Seas cruise leaving on the holiday itself sounds like the perfect way to celebrate! These trips are also when there’s typically a little more flexibility when it comes to adults wearing costumes, but unfortunately, a costume whip is not allowed on the ship.
There are three exceptions you’ll find on the
list of prohibited items when it comes to costume accessories: store-bought light sabers, plastic toy "pirate" swords, and plastic store-bought toy "Mjolnir" hammers (Thor's hammer). It’s always a good idea to consult the
Disney Costume Guidelines for a full explanation of what is allowed and what needs to be left on land.
While I realize this is a Bibbidi Bobbidi Bummer, I hope it doesn’t dampen your spirit. I can already picture you saving the day as Indiana Jones, especially when it comes to protecting the ship from Jack Sparrow and his crew! As you’re finalizing your
cruise packing list, make sure to bring a carry-on bag as well since your checked luggage doesn’t typically arrive in your stateroom until after debarkation, and you don’t want anything holding you back from starting your celebration the second you step onboard!
Your magical voyage will be here before you know it, Iora, but if you have any other questions before departure day, I hope you’ll sail back to us here at
planDisney!
Embrace the magic,
Sami
