Hi there, Kayla!
Welcome to planDisney where it's always a
practically perfect day to discuss the details of an upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation. It sounds like you've begun making your packing list and in the spirit of the season are
checking it twice to make sure that you're abiding by Walt Disney World Resort's property rules and policies. It would be so disappointing to have the beginning of a magical day delayed at a security checkpoint due to an attempt to carry a prohibited item into one of Walt Disney World Resort's theme parks, so let's get right to your question.
A review of
Walt Disney World's list of prohibited items indicates that folding chairs are not permitted in theme parks, water parks, and Disney Springs. Since the stool you mentioned serves the same purpose and functionality as a chair, unfortunately, Kayla, you will not be allowed to bring it with you into any of Walt Disney World Resort's theme parks. While I'm sure this is not what you were hoping to hear, it's important to keep in mind that Walt Disney World's policies are all intended to optimize the safety and experience of both Guests and Cast Members.
Since a visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth requires significant steps, if you're concerned about the amount of time spent on your feet, you might consider
renting a wheelchair or ECV during your visit as most attractions conveniently allow Guests to use mobility devices in the queue before transferring to a ride vehicle. I've also found it helpful to time my enjoyment of lengthier attractions, shows, and dining as breaks for my weary feet throughout the day.
Thanks for bringing your question to us at planDisney, Kayla. If you're in need of further packing tips (don't forget a refillable water bottle and disposable poncho) or ideas of fun places to rest your feet (
Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room and
Living with the Land), feel free to
stop back by. I'm always happy to help!
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
