Hiya Kelly,
Welcome to planDisney! I’m so excited for your upcoming vacation to the Most Magical Place on Earth. You are nearly there, and I’m thrilled to be a tiny part of what I hope is your best day ever!
Great question, Kelly! According to the official
Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules, folding chairs are not allowed in any theme park, water park, or in Disney Springs. However, what you are describing is a little different, so I reached out to a Cast Member to confirm. According to them, the collapsible pack seat you described would also fall under that category of folding chair and thus would not be permitted in the theme parks. Since you mentioned you would like the chair for Accessibility needs, I reviewed the
Accessibility Planning Guide to see if there were any tips I could share. The guide mentions that Guests may use mobility devices, such as a walker with a seat or a cane chair, if needed, so that may be an option for you. To double-check, I highly suggest reaching out to a Cast Member for additional assistance via
email. They can help walk you through everything available to you, including Attraction Queue Re-Entry and Rider Switch.
I know this might not have been the answer you were looking for, but I hope this was helpful, Kelly. As you continue to plan your trip, be sure to leave space in your itinerary for frequent breaks. Even if you are just waiting in a queue, extended periods of time standing can get uncomfortable. I find that using
Lightning Lane Multi Pass to reduce my wait times and interspersing dining reservations/snack breaks throughout the day can make a world of difference. If you need anything else, please come back and see us. We would be happy to help however we can.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
