Ahoy there, Nicholas!
Welcome aboard planDisney! Your adventure on
the Wish is just around the corner, and I bet you're already dreaming of ocean breezes, delicious dining, and a little well-earned relaxation at sea. Let’s talk cigars, lighters, and where you can enjoy them while sailing the high seas!
The great news is you are absolutely allowed to bring a cigar cutter and lighter onboard. However, just like Jack Sparrow keeping to the Pirate’s Code (more like guidelines, really), there are some important rules to follow. Smoking is
only permitted in designated areas to ensure all Guests can enjoy that signature Disney Cruise Line atmosphere. On the Wish, you’ll find these smoking areas:
• Deck 14 (port side, forward and aft) – Open 24/7 (except during refueling operations—keep an ear out for announcements!)
• Deck 4 (port side) – Available from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
Be sure to stick to these areas, because smoking in staterooms or on verandahs currently comes with a hefty $250 cleaning fee—and that’s a treasure you don’t want to part with!
Now, here’s a fun fact: If you’re planning to bring back some premium Bahamian cigars as a souvenir, U.S. law allows you to bring home
up to 100 cigars. That’s a little pirate’s bounty you might not have known about! Just keep in mind that customs limits are subject to change, so it’s always a good idea to double-check before purchasing.
I hope you have an incredible time aboard the Wish, filled with epic entertainment, unforgettable moments, and plenty of time to kick back and enjoy the sea breeze. Wishing you smooth sailing, starry nights, and just the right amount of swashbuckling adventure!
Sea ya real soon with luck in the air and magic everywhere,
Dustin
