Ahoy there, Theresa! Welcome aboard planDisney - it's been a while since you were sailing our waters, but glad to have you back!
Speaking of waters, the short answer is yes! You are more than welcome to bring a case of water aboard any of the
ships of the Disney Cruise Line fleet - including the
Disney Fantasy! There are two very important things to remember, though: water bottles must be unopened and packed in your carry-on luggage. So if you're looking to save a bit of luggage space for souvenirs - or just want to be sure your bags are not too heavy as you spend time exploring the ship before your stateroom is ready - I've got three "planDrew-Approved" options that could help quench your thirst!
- Consider ordering a case of water prior to embarkation day through Onboard Gifts! There's something so fun about walking into your stateroom and having a case of water waiting for you. While you're at it, you could order some stateroom decorations, or even a celebration cake!
- Throughout your cruise - especially on port days - you'll see the beverage crew members selling water packages around the ship! While it's definitely going to be pricier than bringing it yourself, in most cases these packages come with a soft cooler and can be put on ice right when you purchase. This is a great idea if you'll be heading out on a particularly active Port Adventure, plus it's a built-in souvenir of your trip!
- Consider bringing a refillable water bottle! Nothing says "I care about the ocean" more than minimizing plastic waste! If you're so inclined, I always bring either a collapsible or stainless steel water bottle to refill at the beverage stations! This is also one of the reasons my wife and I love choosing staterooms on decks as close to topside as possible! We're big fans of Deck 8 on any of the ships since it's so convenient to both topside and all the main dining and entertainment spaces! Just remember that the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder beverage stations are located at the AFT of the ship, while the most convenient beverage stations on the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy are roughly at midship!
No matter how you decide to plan for how thirsty you'll be after
experiencing everything that's included on a Disney Cruise Line vacation, there are plenty of options! I hope that helps you set a course for smooth sailing when it comes to packing. Speaking of packing, have you started yet? Three months may seem like a long time, but with booking windows approaching, you'll be starting Online Check In before you know it!
Thank you so much, Theresa, for dropping me a line with your question! If you DREAM up any others as you continue planning, please sail my way again here at planDisney!
Until then, may your anchor be tight and your compass true!
Andrew
