Hey there, Debby! Thanks for stopping by planDisney - so glad to welcome you! I'm always delighted to lend a helping hand to a fellow Midwesterner, and you've come to the right place to get all the information you need for your March vacation. Let's get to it!
As a nurse, one of my very favorite things about visiting
Walt Disney World Resort is that the parks are accessible to just about anyone. We've traveled over the years with family members and friends who required some extra assistance to fully enjoy the magic, and it's typically involved very little stress. However, it's important to know what the
Property Rules allow!
I'm happy to report that a
cane chair is, in fact, listed as an example of a mobility aid that you should bring to the theme parks! While actual chairs (think folding or camp chairs) are
not allowed, you will be A-OK to use your cane while in queues for attractions, or for a break during a long Disney day.
Debby, since you'll be arriving on St. Patrick's Day, I definitely recommend packing your finest green attire. It never hurts to have a little extra luck of the Irish on your side, and you may be able to find some holiday-themed merchandise in the parks! If you end up in
EPCOT, you'll find plenty of new pals to enjoy a pint with in the United Kingdom pavilion - and you'll also be able to enjoy the beauty that is the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival!
I hope this information helps with your preparations for next month's magical Disney adventure! If you have any more questions before you arrive at Walt Disney World, please don't hesitate to reach out to our planDisney family again anytime!
See Ya Real Soon!
