Can we bring a camera head mount into the parks? Also, can I bring a hand-held GoPro?

Hello Dulcelita! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

With all the magic that surrounds you during your day at a Walt Disney World Resort Theme Park, it is understandable that you would want to capture the experience.

I wore my shoulder-mounted GoPro camera on the day I went to all 4 Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks to document my self-imposed challenge. There was no problem at any of the 4 security clearance gates at the Theme Parks with my camera setup as per Park Rules and Regulations.

As long as your head-mounted camera and GoPro are not considered by Security Personnel to be a Restricted Personal Item than it should be acceptable to bring it into the Theme Parks. Just make sure that you GoPro is not combined with an extension pole or "Selfie Stick" as those are prohibited and I have seen other Guests have their extension poles confiscated or refused entry by Security Personnel.

While recording devices are more than welcome, at the end of the day it is up to the discretion of Security Personnel whether what you bring into the Theme Parks is acceptable.

Be sure to head over to Toy Story Land at Disney's Hollywood Studios Theme Park with your recording devices to capture all the magic of being a toy in Andy's backyard. Not only do the Green Army Men approve of recording devices, they make sure to pose for some excellent pictures.

    Have a Magical Visit!
