I would like to bring in a Camelbac or a small backpack purse with me, but a friend who went recently told me you can't carry bags or bring food or water in the parks. Is this a new policy or are there different policies with them?

    Hey, Elissa-

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am so glad you came here for clarification. One thing that Disney Parks does best is the creation of “an environment…where parents and children could have fun, together.” Walt Disney’s famous words still ring true to this day.

We always bring a backpack full of snacks and water because Walt Disney World Resort Theme Parks welcome Guests bringing their own food. What a fantastic policy to help all Guests enjoy the theme parks! Please look through the official theme park rules for more details regarding what is allowed into the parks. The most important restrictions are about alcoholic beverages and glass containers.

Many Guests have special dietary needs such as gluten-free, nut allergies and kosher and would like more options than offered at Resort restaurant locations. If you are interested in Walt Disney World Resort restaurants dining then check out the fabulous menus for special diets. The chefs are dedicated to helping you in any way possible.

Disney Dad Tip: You may ask any Counter/Quick-Service restaurant location for a free cup of water.

Elissa, please pack up your bag, fill your Camelbak and enjoy making many Magical Memories!
