Ahoy there, Joseph!
Welcome aboard! I'm really glad you're doing some planning research before your cruise. As one of my favorite characters, Edna Mode, says: "Luck favors the prepared!"
The
Prohibited and Restricted Items list on the Disney Cruise Line website is the right place to go for questions like yours. Currently, guests who are at least 21 years old may bring a maximum of 2 bottles of unopened wine or sparkling wine (no larger than 750 ml) or they can bring 6 beers (which are no larger than 12 ounces) when they board the ship on embarkation day and at each port of call.
It's important to be aware of the
policies around alcohol onboard. You must pack any alcoholic beverages in your carry-on bags (not your checked luggage) and all of them must be in their original, unopened containers. Also, the alcohol you bring on board cannot be consumed in the lounges or other public areas. You can bring wine or sparkling wine to enjoy in one of the dining rooms, but you will be charged a corking fee.
There are many beautiful
lounges and nightclubs to enjoy on each ship! Maybe you'd like to try a
Beverage Tasting, where you'll learn about a selection of spirits before you sample them. Make sure you sign up for those activities when your booking window opens, they can be very popular and fill up fast!
I hope this helps clarify the policy for you, Joseph! Cheers!
Keep moving forward!
Amanda
