Ahoy there, Patricia, and welcome to planDisney!
With less than two weeks until you set sail, you're
almost there. Can you believe it?!? It sounds like you've already started packing for your magical getaway - don't forget the sunscreen...and your mouse ears - so we'll get right to the specifics of
Disney Cruise Line's Prohibited and Restricted Items Policy.
Staying hydrated is a crucial part of any sunny vacation, so I'm happy to share that you're more than welcome to bring bottles of water with you on board. You'll just want to be sure to pack them in your carry-on luggage, keeping in mind that carry-on bags must be able to fit through security scanners (no larger than 22 inches high, 14 inches wide, and 9 inches deep) and that you'll need to be able to carry them with you until your stateroom is ready for you to enjoy.
I also recommend packing any immediate necessities - for me, that includes medication, identification, boarding documents, a charger, and sunglasses - in this bag as well, so be sure to keep that in mind when deciding just how much water you'd like to bring with you.
While we're on the subject of packing, be sure to check out this handy
packing list before you depart, and as a bonus tip, my pal JoVonn always recommends bringing a drink carrier and reusable cups so that you can easily carry
complimentary beverages from the ship's Beverage Stations (including water) back to your state room.
I hope this information helps you finalize your pixie-dusted packing, Patricia, and that you'll reach back out to us at
planDisney if you have any additional questions about your upcoming vacation.
Thinking Happy Thoughts,
Lizzie
