Ahoy there Samantha! Welcome to planDisney! I'm so excited to hear that you're planning on a Disney Cruise Line vacation aboard my family's favorite ship in the fleet, the
Disney Wonder! She's our favorite for many reasons, but most of all because we spent a glorious 14-night Panama Canal itinerary exploring every inch and experiencing every ounce of magic held in her hulls!
Ah, but I digress - it's YOU who has an upcoming adventure!
I've got good news, Samantha!
According to the Disney Cruise Line Frequently Asked Questions, nonperishable snack foods in sealed, original packaging can absolutely be brought aboard! This applies to non-alcoholic beverages as well! While there are no limits to non-alcoholic beverages such as coconut water, the only consideration to be aware of is that you'll have to bring it aboard with you in your carry-on luggage! This is mainly to prevent any spills or breakage that could occur with normal baggage handling, and nobody wants a coconut water-soaked suitcase!
Just remember your
stateroom may not be ready until later in the afternoon, you may find yourself lugging around what started off as a lovely bunch of coconut waters in your carry-ons, that feel more like anchors after exploring the ship for a few hours! I'd suggest if you are planning on bringing more than a few bottles, consider making your carry-on a rolling bag of some sort!
Oh, and one more thing about bringing approved food and beverages aboard: all items must either be consumed prior to returning to your home port or remain unopened! If you have partially eaten food or opened containers of coconut water, you will unfortunately be required to place it in the trash before you disembark.
I hope that helps you set a course for a coconut water-fueled adventure aboard the Disney Wonder! Now there's a sentence I never envisioned myself saying - haha! Thank you so much for your question, Samantha, and if any others drop from the trees while you continue planning - questions, that is, not coconuts - I'll be here at planDisney to help you crack even the toughest ones!
Huh, I guess it
does work for both questions and coconuts...
Fair winds and following seas!
