Welcome to planDisney, Trevor! Thank you for cruising our way with your question.
According to the Disney Cruise Line
policy, guests ages 21 years and older may bring up to two bottles of unopened wine or champagne (no larger than 750ml) or six beers (no larger than 12oz) onboard in carry-on luggage at the beginning of the voyage and at each port-of-call. Any alcoholic beverages that are not beer, wine, or champagne are considered 'other liquors and spirits' and are not allowed. I believe that port falls under the category of "other" in this case with its higher alcohol content.
For guests who wish to bring home any liquors, spirits, or excess wine and beer they purchase while visiting ports of call, these purchases will be stored throughout the cruise for pickup at the end of the voyage.
I hope you find this information helpful as you plan to celebrate your vacation aboard Disney Cruise Line. Did you know that there are
Beverage Tasting seminars to book aboard each Disney Cruise ship? Reservations can be made when your
online booking window opens. Beverage Tastings are a popular event and fill up quickly, so I recommend that if you are interested, you book as soon as you are able. Reservations can be made on the Disney Cruise Line website or via the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app.
Trevor, I'm wishing you a most wonderful Disney Cruise. If you have more questions, please sail back to us at planDisney. My friends and I are always happy to help.
Happy Planning!
