Can I bring a blow up mattress for one of my children to sleep on? They don’t always like to share a bed. We are paying for a room that sleeps 5, and there will only be 5 of us.

    Hiya Melissa,

Welcome to planDisney! We are so excited that you are here and getting ready to visit next week!

Now, let’s chat about your resort stay. I have two Mouseketeers, and while they are only two years old and three months old, I know the day will come when we are in the same scenario as you. While I understand your children not wanting to sleep in the same bed, unfortunately, air mattresses are not generally allowed in your room due to the layout of most resort rooms and fire safety codes. I would highly suggest, however, reaching out to a Cast Member in Disney Resort Hotel Reservations. Based on your room layout, they would be able to confirm if you are allowed to have an air mattress.

I hope this was helpful, Melissa. I’m so excited about your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World. You are visiting during one of my favorite festivals, the EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival. I love the fresh outdoor kitchens and looking at all the beautiful topiaries. The foodie guide has so many yummy options this year that I convinced my Prince Charming to add a trip in a couple of months so I can enjoy it. Please come back and see us if there is anything we can do to help!

    Happy Planning,
