Hi Monica,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question!
Monica, while bringing in food and snacks are permitted, a cake may be a little challenging since there’s a lot of traveling to get to
Magic Kingdom Park (ex. parking lot, tram, monorail), I wouldn't suggest it. If you’re coming from a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel, it may be a little easier since you’re just coming off of the bus, but it still may be challenging getting the cake through security and of course, you don’t want it to melt or slide.
Here's an alternative option to think about instead. If you’re eating at
Tony’s Town Square Restaurant,
Be Our Guest Restaurant,
Cinderella’s Royal Table, or
The Plaza Restaurant, you can order one of the
specialty Disney Cakes! These cakes are available to guests who have dining reservations at specific restaurants and you can order them through
My Disney Experience in advance. You can also order via Cast Member at the restaurant’s host podium four days before your reservation. There are also options for limited same-day orders. This could be a really great and easy way to celebrate the birthday!
Another option could be to grab a treat from the
Main Street Confectionery and take it with you to your dining reservation. Prior to celebrating your family member, make sure to grab them a complimentary birthday button from your Disney Resorts Collection hotel,
Guest Relations, or any merchandise location. This is also a fun way to celebrate too!
I hope this “Bit By Bryanna” is helpful as you prepare for your Walt Disney World Resort trip. If you have any other planning or vacation questions,
please feel free to reach out, I’m always happy to help!
The Magic Is Calling,
