Can I bring birthday balloons to Chef Mickey's restaurant?

Hey There, Hi There, Ho There, Natalia!

Welcome to planDisney! We are DELIGHTED you stopped by and are honored to help you plan your upcoming trip to Disney World! A trip to the "Most MAGICAL Place On Earth" alone is incredible, and knowing you are celebrating a birthday there makes it even MORE special. Birthdays at Disney always seem to shine a little brighter, with characters, music, and Cast Members joining in the fun. It is one of the few places where grown-ups and kids feel the same spark of excitement the moment they arrive. You are in for such a memorable celebration, and Chef Mickey’s is the perfect place to kick it all off.

What a fantastic question to ask before heading into one of the most iconic character meals at Disney World! So, are you ready for some TIGGER-ific news? I am very excited to share that you can bring birthday balloons to Chef Mickey’s. It's a fun way to add a little extra flair to your celebration. Chef Mickey’s is located inside the Contemporary Resort, which means balloons are allowed, as it is not part of a restricted animal area, such as Animal Kingdom Lodge. If you want to bring a bundle of cheerful, floating birthday fun, you are completely in the clear. Just remember that balloons can be a bit tricky to carry on Disney transportation, so it helps to plan ahead if you will be using buses or the monorail. Many guests choose to pick up balloons right before their reservation, so they don't have to keep track of them all day. And once you arrive, be sure to let the Cast Members know you are celebrating because Disney loves to make birthdays feel extra special. You can expect plenty of smiles, greetings, and maybe even a sprinkle of pixie dust.

Oh, and don't forget one of the best parts of any Disney birthday: picking up your free birthday button. You can grab one at your resort or at Guest Relations in any park, and it is a wonderful way to let everyone know you are celebrating.

If you have other questions, please don't hesitate to ask. We are here to help in any way!

    Have a MAGICAL day!

    Wes
