    Can you bring beer on the Disney Magic the first day of embarkation?

    Hello, Margaret,

    Yes. Qualifying Guests may bring onboard a limited quantity of alcoholic beverages at the beginning of their Disney Cruise Line vacation on embarkation day. Here are some things to remember:

    • Each adult bringing onboard alcohol must be 21 years old or older. (For cruises out of Singapore, the minimum age is 18.)
    • Alcoholic beverages must be carried onboard and may not be packed in checked luggage.
    • Each adult may bring either (but not both) of the following forms of alcoholic beverages:
      • Up to 1 bottle of wine (still or sparkling, up to 750 ml)
      • Up to 6 beers (no more than 12 ounces per beer)
    • Alcoholic beverages must be in their original, unopened bottles or cans.
    • Alcohol brought onboard may not be consumed in public areas of the ship, including lounges.
      • Tip: Pack a bottle opener and/or corkscrew, or ask your stateroom host to borrow one to enjoy your beverages in your stateroom. Your stateroom host can also provide wine glasses for you to use.
      • Of course, you may also take a bottle of wine to enjoy at dinner in the main dining room for your rotational dining or in an adult-exclusive dining room. Corkage fees apply.
    • Alcohol purchased in ports of call will be gathered as you return to the ship and stored until the end of the cruise. Tip: Set a reminder on your phone to pick it up at the end of your cruise!

    Enjoy the Disney Magic, Margaret. It's one of my favorite Disney Cruise Line ships. I highly recommend visiting the Soul Cat Lounge on deck 3. Ask the bartender or server if you can purchase some New York-style Zeppoles to take back to your stateroom so you can enjoy a beer and a sweet pastry while relaxing on your verandah.
