Can I bring a beach bag with non valuables around typhoon lagoon and leave it close by when I'm splashing around? I just want a towel (for kiddo eyes) and our water bottles close by. I'll get a locker for valuables. Thanks for any tips!

Hey there, hi there, ho there, Kaitlyn, and welcome back to planDisney. I can hear the boatswain's call coming from the Miss Tilly right now. It sends excitement down my spine knowing the Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool is about to unleash 6-foot waves every 90 seconds. Are you ready for this adventure at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park?

Yes, you may bring your beach bag and leave it near where you are playing. It would be best to leave it near another beach chair so it is not in the way of other Guests or Cast Members. I do this with my sandals because the ground gets super hot and I do not want to carry my shoes with me when I enjoy the water slides. I just leave them near the entrance out of the way.  Getting a Rental Locker is a super smart plan to store your valuables.

    Some other tips:

    1. Rent an umbrella and chairs. While it adds a cost the shade option makes a huge difference and you get two beach chairs, two lounge chairs, and towels.
    2. Arrive early when Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park will be the least crowded.
    3. Life jackets are available for all sizes.
    4. The Sand Pail Sundae is spectacular in the sun found at Happy Landings Ice Cream.
    5. There are smaller tubes for little ones in Castaway Creek (lazy river).
    6. Make a sandcastle. There are supplies in Singapore Sal's or use the one from the Sand Pail Sundae.
    7. Use Castaway Creek as a way to get around the water park. Your feet will thank you even though it will take a bit longer.
I hope this information helps you have a splashtastic time at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon. We make it a priority during every summer trip to visit because we love to relax after a couple of days pounding the theme park pavement.

Kaitlyn, please feel free to write me back directly with any follow-up questions or for other Disney vacation planning tips.

    Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
