Hi Nhiem! Welcome to planDisney! The countdown is getting all too real! You are down to single digits until you arrive at the
Most Magical Place on Earth! There is no better feeling than the last few days leading up to your stay!
Nhiem, not only are backpacks allowed in the parks, but they are a necessity for me as a Disney Dad! Between my wife and I, I'm usually the one to carry any extra clothes for the kids, snacks, battery packs for our mobile devices, and any other item needed for our day. There was actually an instance recently when I visited the parks with some of my fellow planDisney panelists where I left my bag back at the resort. I can't tell you how many times I kept thinking that I left it somewhere or I misplaced it. It has become such a staple.
There are some rules and regulations regarding the sizes of bags allowed in the parks.
Bags bigger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high (subject to change) are not permitted in any of the parks. Backpacks are typically smaller in size than these dimensions, so you should not have any issues. When entering the parks, all bags are subject to additional screening by Disney Security. Once you walk through the metal detectors, you may be asked to have your bag searched. The process is very quick and will not hold you up long.
Another great perk about having a bag available to you in the parks is being able to carry small merchandise items back to the resort with you. I'm not one that likes to carry around shopping bags with me throughout the day, so it much easier to just place the items in my backpack for the day.
Nhiem, I hope you have the most magical time during your upcoming visit! Have the best time making lasting memories!
See ya real soon!
