Hiya, Cyn, and thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I hope you’re having the time of your life exploring the Disneyland Resort! There’s
so much to see and do, from Get Your Ears On – A Mickey and Minnie Celebration, to the
2019 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. My children love Jr. Chef and Jammin' Chefs!
I’m pleased to report that yes, you are welcome to bring a backpack with snacks for your children into the theme parks. Just keep in mind that glass containers and alcoholic beverages aren’t allowed. In addition, any coolers or backpacks can’t be larger than 24” long x 15” wide x 18” high. Also, if you plan to keep your snacks cold with any ice, be sure it’s bagged, or, I recommend using a re-usable ice pack. If you have any other questions on what is and isn’t permitted inside the parks, you can check out the
Disneyland Resort Rules.
A helpful tip for warmer weather is to ask for a lidded cup of ice water at any of the park’s quick-service restaurants. This is a great way to avoid carrying around heavy water bottles all day!
If you and your family are seeking a comfortable spot to take a break and eat your snacks, I recommend heading to the
picnic area, found just outside the Disneyland Park Main Entrance gates. If you’d rather not lug around your backpack, you can even store it in a nearby locker when you’re done.
Please stop by with any other questions you may have… I’m all EARs!
