Can I bring a backpack into parks

Hey there, hi there, Cliff! Welcome to planDisney. We are happy to have you here!

It's beginning to look a lot like the holidays at Disneyland Resort! While the official kick-off is still over a week away, the pumpkins are gone, and snow and garland are taking over. I am happy to share that backpacks are welcome in the parks. In the cooler months, I go between bringing a backpack or renting a locker to store an extra layer and whatever else I may need. Be sure to check out the Prohibited Items list to check the size restrictions for bags. When you head through security, it's very helpful to have all of your zippers and compartments open and ready for Cast Members to check them quickly and efficiently.

Since you will be in the parks before the holidays are in full swing, you get the opportunity to see Paint the Night and experience some of the 70th Celebration excitement before it pauses for the holidays. I highly recommend not only Paint the Night, but Tapestry of Happiness, too. I prefer hanging out over in front of "it's a small world" to see the parade go through. If you time it right, you will also be able to see one of the many showings of Tapestry of Happiness as well!

Cliff, thanks so much for stopping by! You know where to find us with any other questions you have!

Meet the Panelist: Carrie, California

Well hello there, friend! I'm Carrie, a work-from-home mom and military wife who currently calls sunny San Diego home. You'll find my family in the parks braving drops and coasters to work up our appetite to take as many snack breaks as we can. While Disneyland is our home away from home, we love trying to make a Walt Disney World Resort vacation happen at least once a year now too. All my friends know I'm the go-to for Disney advice, so I'm here to help you plan and experience the magic on your visit! Learn More About Carrie
