Hello there, Janice!
Welcome to planDisney and thanks so much for stopping by with a fantastic
Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning question. It sounds like you'll be making your way to The Most Magical Place on Earth
very soon - how exciting! I bet you can hardly wait to experience the magic and wonder of the Walt Disney World Resort
theme parks. I'd be happy to help you prepare for a seamless security experience!
Janice, I'm happy to inform you that backpacks are permitted into the theme parks, water parks, and Disney Springs as long as they conform to the official
property rules. Backpacks must be no larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high (61 cm x 38 cm x 46 cm) to be permitted into the theme parks, and it's important to note that all individuals will be subject to security screening before they enter. As long as your backpack fits within these criteria, you should have no issue at the security checkpoint!
Whether you'll be traveling with
little Mouseketeers, a group of adults, or just flying solo, it's important to be prepared and pack appropriately for your day in the theme parks, Janice. I highly recommend bringing warm weather essentials like sunscreen, a refillable water bottle, and a cooling towel or neck fan in your backpack to keep you cool and hydrated throughout the day. You'll find complimentary bottle refill stations conveniently located throughout all four theme parks! If you find that you've forgotten something during your visit, you can find most essential supplies inside many of the shops on property. Otherwise,
First Aid may be able to help you out!
Janice, I hope you've found this information helpful as you gear up for a fun-filled day at The Most Magical Place on Earth. If you have any additional questions before or during your vacation, you can always revisit us right here at
planDisney! We're all ears.
See ya real soon,
Lauren
