Brigitta: You stated on 2/28/08 that a table service meal can be traded for a counter service meal. I had called Disney Reservations that night and asked that question (before I found this site) and they said that it was not possible. Which is correct?

    Hi Shannon,

Thank you for your e-mail.  I am sorry if you have been confused, and I have not spoken to Disney directly about this, but I have this information directly from my last trip to Disney World, where I give the example of my families experience and what the manager of the food court specifically told us; that we could do this exchange as it was downgrading and not upgrading.  Maybe as far as being written as specific provisions in the Dining Plan, they do not outright state yes or no to this answer, I know that it can be done from personal experience.  I will tell you that the manager was not directly involved with this transaction, he just told us that we could do it and we picked out the counter service meals (sandwiches) from the food court, proceeded to the cashiers and told them we wanted to use our remaining 3 table service meals for these counter service meals instead and it was no problem!  I hope this helps and I am not trying to give you incorrect information, but I believe, based on my personal experience with this that it shouldn't be a problem...especially seeing as it is less expensive for Disney having to give a counter service meal instead of a table service meal.  I cannot see what the problem would be?

Have a magical day and if you have any further questions...don't hesitate to ask!
