Hi Brigitta, In what buildings are the prefered rooms at POP? What would you consider to be the best location for closeness to pool, busstop & foodcourt with a descent view and not to high traffic. Also can you request a certain building or no? Thanks.

    Hello Jacki,

This is a tough one to answer and I'll tell you honestly that I have found although it is convenient to be near the main building, the main pool and transportation there are many factors that I don't like about the "preferred" rooms.  One would be the noise level...yes, it does get very noisy....between the housekeepers and their carts rumbling through the halls and past your room constantly.  Even though this does not really change much in other locations throughout the resort, it seems to be more prominent in the "preferred" locations for some reason. Then there is the noise level from the pool and pool traffic, which goes on late in the evenings I find, so if you have little one's that may be light sleepers this could also be a problem.  Remember that you are paying extra per night to be staying at these "preferred" locations.  I do like to be near the food court (especially when I had to go to the food court every morning to warm my daughters milk up and they have a microwave there for you to use for that), or to get refills for your "refillable mugs" (these are a good deal!).

I would suggest the most centrally located building #5, where I stayed many times, or on their map is referred to as part of the '60s.  I found the rooms in the 5000's wing to be a bit more noisy than the rooms in the 4000's wing (building #4).  Try to request a room away from the middle of the building(which is where the housekeepers laundry room is located and the elevator traffic is located there as well!).  My preference would be to request a room location facing the beautiful "Hourglass Lake".  It seems to be much less noisy but yet still a fairly short walking distance to the main amenities that we all love so much!  These are my personal preferences, and may not be what you would choose, but I hope I have shed some light on the situation for you here anyways.

    Have a magical day!
