Hi Brigitta. You answered a question someone had about using the magical express when your from Canada. Read somewhere that you have to go through customs first and had to take your own bags on ME. Never flew in to the US before, HELP I'm confused.

    Hi Rebecca,

You are not the only one who has been confused about traveling to the US and figuring out Customs/Immigration.  I only once had this happen, but I was traveling from the east coast (Toronto) later in the evening a few years ago and for some reason I was not able to clear customs in Toronto, so I had to go through customs when I got to Orlando and yes! for this instance I had to collect my luggage and then clear customs in Orlando before heading on the Magical Express.  This, however, has only happened the one time for me and all other trips out of Canada I have been able to go through US Immigration and Customs clearing in Canada before arriving in Orlando.

Long story short, if you go through US Customs and Immigration in Canada then you are cleared already when you arrive in the States.  If you have your luggage tags on your suitcases at that time, then the next time you will see your luggage will be at your WDW Resort (unless it is late in the evening, where you will have to pick up your bags from the luggage carousel and bring them with you onto the ME coach).  I hope I have helped you and not just confused you more!

    Best wishes,
