Bright suns, Beth! Thanks for stopping by planDisney on your way to the planet Batuu!
It sounds like you are getting ready to live your very own Star Wars adventure at
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge! As a lifelong Star Wars fan, setting foot in Black Spire Outpost for the first time was like a childhood dream come true for me. Now that I have traveled to Batuu several times, I can tell you that each time I visit, I find new details that amaze me. I'm sure you will find this new land impressive. Most impressive.
One of my favorite things to do as I explore Black Spire Outpost is to stop by
Oga's Cantina to sip on a Yub Nub or a Fuzzy Tauntaun while enjoying the lively atmosphere and the musical stylings of DJ R-3X. This local watering hole is extremely popular, and travelers are strongly encouraged to make a reservation to guarantee their admittance. Due to
physical distancing guidelines, capacity at Oga's Cantina is currently more restricted than normal. While it never hurts to ask a Cast Member if they have room for Guests without reservations, the chances of them being able to accommodate you are slim. But as Han Solo once said, "Never tell me the odds."
Beth, I would recommend that you continue to check the availability for Oga's Cantina reservations. Guests change their plans all the time, so you never know when someone might cancel a reservation, freeing up a last-minute spot for you. If you are unable to secure a reservation, fear not, for fear is the path to the Dark Side. Black Spire Outpost has lots of great options for quenching your thirst.
You can stop by the
Milk Stand to try the famous blue milk.
Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo also has some great drink options. The Surly Sarlacc is a popular choice at this dining location. No reservations are required at this establishment, but be sure to take advantage of
mobile food and beverage ordering. If you're looking for a place to relax and enjoy a drink when you return to
Disney's Hollywood Studios from your off-planet adventure on Batuu, I highly recommend
BaseLine Tap House. Be sure to check out the
dining "Know Before You Go" page for all of the latest information on visiting restaurants and lounges during Walt Disney World Resort's phased reopening process.
I hope that your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is an experience of galactic proportions! If you have any additional questions, just hop aboard the
Millennium Falcon, make the jump to light speed, and set a course for planDisney.
May the Force be with you!
Samantha
