Hi ! I am breastfeeding my 9month girl, i will be going to wdw in june for my honeymoon so that means no kids , has anyone ever been in my situation , if so how did u proceed in being able too keep your milk ? HELP?

    Bonjour Karine,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question!

If I understand your question correctly, you were wondering what kinds of advice we would have for you in order to ensure that you’re able to pump (and keep up your milk supply) while you’re in Walt Disney World Resort this June. Although I haven’t been in your exact position, I believe I can help you with some tips and tricks that may be of assistance.

My first tip would be to try to stick to your feeding schedule from home as much as possible. When you’re in the Theme Parks, you can always duck into the Baby Care Centers in order to have a quiet (and cool!) spot to pump. I would recommend travelling with a small hand-held pump in order to make sure you’re not lugging heavy equipment around with you during a day at the Theme Parks.

One final note: you’ll be crossing an international border so I’m not sure whether you’ll be able to come back into Canada with any pumped milk that you may have kept. Setting aside whether it would be a good idea to even try to transport it during various plane rides, I believe that there are some pretty stringent regulations about whether you can transport your milk back into Canada. I would recommend doing a bit of research before you leave in order to figure out what your options are, if any.

Have a Magical Day and enjoy your honeymoon!
