Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Christina! I visited Magic Kingdom while I was a breastfeeding Mama, and it was quite the adjustment from a regular park visit, but I felt like I had plenty of resources courtesy of the
Baby Care Center! Since you will be pumping (much like I was later in my visit), I’ll give you a few tips to make it easy!
You’ll be able to sit in the nursing room of the Baby Care Centers (located in the 4 main theme parks) to pump, and with plenty of running water, paper towels and a countertop, be able to clean and sterilize your pump parts. I find that microwave sterilization bags are very handy, since they fold flat into a pumping bag and a microwave is handy in the Baby Care Centers. As far as storing the milk and pump goes, if you don’t have a pumping backpack with cold packs, you can use the lockers for a nominal fee at the front of the parks, which come in various sizes. Since your son will not be with you, if you’d like to get the milk back home, I urge you to look into Milk Stork, my preferred milk mail system. A cooler, bags and shipping container is mailed to your hotel, and you can then pack the cooler to your liking. The pre-labeled box can be dropped off with your
Walt Disney World Resort’s Front Desk and you’ll be able to track it all the way home. I wish they had this service with my first baby since traveling through TSA with half-frozen milk wasn’t too fun! I find that the Disney Resort hotel room fridge-freezers are very small and some do not freeze well. Sadly, there isn’t another freezer available for you at the Resorts. Milk Stork puts me at ease to get everything safely back home.
If I can help you with any other vacation insight, please let me know. Enjoy your visit, and we’ll see ya’ real soon! ~ Lindsey P.
