Hakuna Matata, Jamilyn! Thanks for dropping by the savanna... ER- oops, I mean planDisney with your question!
Like Zaku advising Mufasa, I hope I can help as you're deciding on the perfect way for your Mom to enjoy some exotic friends while dining. First, it's important to note that
breakfast at Sanaa is a casual, quick-service meal (not a table-service experience with a server). The perk to this setup is that you don't need reservations to enjoy this restaurant in the morning; however the seats near the giant windows are popular, so you might need a bit of patience and pixie dust.
When my family last ate at Sanaa we did have great views of some gazelles, zebras, and an errant giraffe who was meandering around the restaurant. However, just as Simba wouldn't always comply with his father's wishes, there is no guarantee that your meal will be filled with animal sightings.
Jamilyn, if you visit
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge for breakfast (lunch or dinner), I highly recommend building in a few extra minutes to walk around the overlooks at this resort. You'll be able to see the animals from another viewpoint and talk with the Cast Members who help care for the nearly 30 species living at this resort. My kids spent hours the week of our visit just chatting with the Cast Members while watching the animals go by.
However you choose to make your Mom's animal wishes come true, I hope you have a Magical time. Please come on back to planDisney where we always hope our guests leave with
"no worries for the rest of your days! It's our problem-free philosophy!" Lauren
