Hi! We have a breakfast ressie at Chef Mickeys on our check in day. We will be on the dining plan. Do we have to go to our hotel to check in before breakfast? We will be using the online check in before we arrive and will already have our Magic Bands. Thx!

    Hi Diana,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us another question!

If you use Online Check-In, you should be able to bypass your Resort and head straight to Chef Mickey’s the day arrive for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation AND be able to use your Disney Dining Plan entitlements immediately in order to pay for your meal.

That being said, I’ve experienced hiccups on check-in day in the past when I haven’t gone to my Resort first, especially when it comes to using my MagicBand to charge purchases to my Walt Disney World Resort hotel account. My recommendation would be to head to Chef Mickey’s for your meal and, if your Disney Dining Plan entitlements aren’t working properly yet, to speak to your Lobby Concierge in order to straighten everything out afterwards. They should be able to make that Magic happen for you if things didn’t go according to plan.

I hope my answer helps you plan your upcoming vacation. Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions.

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
