Some of my breakfast reservations are in various resorts. Would it be easier to either drive to or take a taxi to those reservations or just use the bus transportation? I believe I would have to take a bus from my resort to a park to do that? Thank you

Hi there, Sharon! Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.

My family lives within driving distance of the Walt Disney World Resort, so we always have access to a car when we're there. For the most part, we like to let Disney do the driving during our stay, but there are times when I think it's much more convenient to hop in the car and go. Early breakfast reservations in a Resort hotel other than the one we're staying in would be one of those times.

Generally, you'll find buses operating early enough to get you where you need to go, but you're right, you'd need to ride to a Theme Park and transfer to another bus, monorail or boat to get to a reservation at another Resort hotel. In my opinion, driving yourself just makes much more sense. You cut down on lots of travel time (which means a little more sleep time!), and it's more convenient to go directly to your destination rather than having to transfer. After breakfast, you can either drive back to your hotel or head out to a Theme Park for the day. As a Walt Disney World Resort hotel Guest, you can park your car for free at any of the Parks!

A taxi is another option that would still allow you to travel directly to your reservation while not having to deal with driving yourself. I've never tried it, but I know lots of people who have and say it's a good alternative. Your hotel concierge can help you if you decide to go this route.

I hope this helps with your planning, Sharon. Enjoy all that fabulous Disney food, and please come see us again if you have any more questions.

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
